This is a season of anticipation ... we have coped with the cold and the snow, and now we share Nature’s cautious excitement, ready to burst and bloom. These past months our Montessori community has not hibernated but worked constructively and hard on new initiatives, ensuring that 2013 will be a memorable year in our history. The congress in Portland, Oregon, taking place from 31 July - 3 August, promises to be an event bringing together Montessori inspiration from all over the world.
AMI has organized two training of trainers seminar programmes to be held in the USA (6-12) and India (3-6). New affiliated societies from Japan, Spain and the Czech Republic are preparing to extend our global influence and our new web site is almost ready.
In April we will have a fully packed weekend on offer in Amsterdam: the societies meeting, the AGM, a brilliant keynote speaker, the author of children’s books, Michael Morpurgo and—in honour or Renilde Montessori who developed the the Educateurs sans Frontières—the Open Forum will focus on the outreach aspect of our work. We have some great presentations lined up.
